  1. For me Divi is the best theme, but, for bands, musicians and artists, the builder needs to have some modules to manage Events and Calendars without using third party plugins or custom post type…

    • YES! Calendar and Events modules are long overdue. Not just for bands, but for many things. Networking groups and businesses of all kinds need these features.

      • I’m using Events calendar (with some hacks) with divi, so far is working nicely. But true, given that Divi (and Extra) are so complete, still an events calendar management would be a super plus addon to both themes.

        • You can always make a suggestion on our dedicated form, which is frequented by many of the Divi developers ( 🙂

          • We would be grateful.
            thank you

  2. Hello,
Which theme would you recommend to sell audiophile equipment ?
    Best regards,

    • I’d look at a theme designed to work well with woocommerce since you’ll likely be using it for your ecommerce options. If you’re an ET member Divi works great with woocommerce.

  3. Why is ET listing the 10 best themes for anything? The 10 best themes are Divi, Divi, Divi, Divi, Divi… You get my point. You can do anything what that theme!

    • Thats one of the things that makes ET great, they don’t just think that they are the end all be all of themes. They provide great examples of what others do as well. Use it for inspiration if you choose.

      • Thanks Jared, I totally agree with you. I was just ribbing them 😉

  4. Hi John!

Always interested to read anything related to music, since I work with musicians (program notes/translations)… but am once again disappointed to see that the term “music” seems to ignore classical music! Would love to find some good inspiration in this field for building websites… Divi definitely would be the ultimate solution if it also offered a tailored event management module 😉

    • I think developers are simply catering to a prominent option, Michelle. However, you’re right – there are a number of other niches that deserve some love!

  5. Remix is very current. I like it

  6. Nice post, as usual. I would love to see some suggestions for coaching sites. Perhaps give us some Divi examples too. Cheers!

  7. As I understand, the Divi builder can be used as well with Harmony (ET), right?

And another question: for both ET themes (Harmony and Divi), which floating music player plugin might work best?

    • That’s difficult because there are so many. The best bet is to try either a few free options, or a premium option with a guarantee of a refund if things don’t work out. The most full-featured example I’ve seen is CueBar (

  8. Agreed on Calendar and Events modules! Good thing Elegant Themes continues to listen to us and respond with MORE GREAT STUFF! : )

  9. Musicplay theme looks quite nice. Have been looking for something like this.

  10. For calendar and events things, I like to use They have a .ics feed and lots of options for formatting your calendar. They can also pull Google calendar feeds if you need to do that.

  11. This is awesome! Thank you for simplifying my search for band and music friendly themes.

    • Thanks, Juliette!

  12. On these types of posts, it would be really nice to see some examples of actual websites built using the Divi theme related to the blog topic. I love the Divi theme, but since I’m not a great “designer”, I rely on seeing how others use certain modules, etc.

Can anyone recommend any music/band websites that have been made using Divi for me to check out? Thanks!

  13. Jam session theme looks great and thanks for this article.

    • No problem, Antony. 🙂

  14. Greatly waiting on Calendar, Events, Testimonials & Banking modules! Hope to see them in future. God Bless!

  15. Nice themes for musical websites. It is difficult to create a website from the scratch and utilizing these themes will not only speed-up the development process of the web application, but it will also save the time of the developers, which can be better utilized for adding more advanced functionality into the system.

    • Thanks for your insight, Claire!

  16. what about movies can it be use for movies as well?

    • They absolutely can, Paige! It’s very easy to embed videos into WordPress –simply paste the URL into your editor!
