New Theme: TheCorporation

TheCorporation is a sleek and professional theme for business sites. Grab your visitor’s attention immediately with the prominent and flashy jQuery slider, and let them know who you are via the simple page-based homepage design. I have received countless requests for such a “non-niche” and  ”businessy” design over the last few months, so I hope that this helps to satisfy the needs of those members. For more info be sure to check out the Live Demo as well as the Features Page.

The Corporation Features

Powered by ePanel, TheCorporation comes with all of the great features you have become accustomed to here at EelegantThemes. Change  color schemes, post layouts, manage your navigation, optimize your blog for SEO and more with the click of a button.

1. Optional Blog-style Structure – TheCorporation is a completely page-based design, but that doesn’t mean you have to use it that way.  You can switch to “Blogstyle” mode at any time, which converts the page-based homepage into a post-based blog. Furthermore, you can choose to populate the Featured Slider with posts instead of pages. Even though this theme was made with a specific audience in mind, there is nothing stopping bloggers who just like the design from using it.

2. Six  Unique Color Schemes – TheCorporation comes with 2 styles, each with 3 color schemes, for a total of six different variations to choose from. The standard skin comes in three colors, including Blue, Green and Purple.

For those looking for a something a bit more understated, the theme also comes with a “refined” skin. This skin include 3 colors, including Red, Blue and Silver.

So what do you guys think? Please leave a comment if you have any opinions/suggestions! Also don’t forget to let me know what types of themes you would like to see in the future.

Once again an amazing job. Although I was hoping for Polished to be released next.

  6. Missy says:

    Looks good to muah!

p.s. Would LOVE to see a theme that is ad-friendly. We bloggers and net marketers like to make money with our web properties. Yes?

Please create a blog with a KILLER design and layout, but that has nicely integrated (ad placeholders) throughout.

Be it for Adsense, ebooks or affiliate marketing.

    Cheers!

  7. tv shows says:

  12. Deep Titanic says:

Hello I love the corp and the fact that it’s page based.

As far as suggestions go I would like to see more page based designs and maybe an e-commerce theme (I hope it’s alive!) or a design gallery theme.

Great job as always … I can see the improvements with each new design and all with no flash!

    Thanks!!

  13. Cedric says:

Wow Just amazing…Again. I love it

  14. clean blue! thanks nick!

  15. Ian Davies says:

    Looks brilliant, Nick.

I think I’m going to use it for my main website… though it may be wise to wait for Polished first perhaps??!!

    Ian

  16. Jason says:

I would reiterate Deep Titanic’s request, “As far as suggestions go I would like to see more page based designs and maybe an e-commerce theme (I hope it’s alive!) or a design gallery theme.”

Now that WP’s acceptance for Small/Medium business CMS functions is growing so rapidly, perhaps largely because of the easier backend for content users and admin users, there is clearly an expanding market for unabashedly page/CMS oriented WP sites.

Many nominal CMS oriented WP themes simply don’t have the design or maintenance quality this market requires.

  17. Jonathan says:

I think you need more News/Magazine style themes like ENews.

Coldstone for example is good, but too grungy to really work as a professional site for news type websites

  18. KC says:

    Got this running on http://myeasyhosting.mobi

    I like this theme..very nice..

  33. Jad says:

Nick, this is the best theme you’ve done so far! However i wish you could start having an orange color alongside the other colors in your future themes…a lot of companies and associations (like the one i work for) have the orange color as their main color…

another comment is on this site by KC http://myeasyhosting.mobi

is there a way to fix the thumbnails in the slider? they are outside their position because the title is long..is there someway to fix their positions disregarding the length of the title? also is there a way to fix the “read more” tab in the slider posts because you can see his third one is higher than the first two?

other than that, i love it and i think its great and i cant wait for polished! hope the comments are taken seriously

  34. chodhry says:

wow wow what a theme. The best ever wordpress cms theme I have seen in a long time. A job very well done.

    Hi Nick,

I’m one of your member and I truly love the corporate theme. Very sleek and easy to work with.

    Request: An e-commerce theme :)

    Love your work!

  39. Ronny says:

oh again such a style, had once more on nice simple magazines walking-often with smart slider, but maybe as the next?

  40. This might be a stupid question, but how can I enable the blog-style structure? I cannot find a suitable option from the administration panel of the theme.

  41. Keith Davis says:

    Great work Nick.
Business Card wasn’t for me but I love this one.
Only one problem… which skin to choose.

    Glad I joined Elegant Themes.

  42. Jonathan says:

    When can we expect Polished?

  43. Bryan says:

I would also like to see more “page-based” themes. Don’t get me wrong, I love the themes you have created, but I definitely have use for page-based.

So today is the big day for Polished? Any idea when it will be posted?

  44. Looks awesome! Uploading it to one of my websites NOW. :)

  45. Jodi says:

I had downloaded and bought your “membership” and I had downloaded a couple but never used your theme because I have been super swamped. I finally got caught up on clients and used it to do the site above and I LOVE YOUR THEME!!! (or ‘s’, haven’t tried more yet). I have the developers package for several different others and most (like the Thesis) are so gimmicky they drive me insane and I can’t deal with them. I LOVE that everything worked, perfectly, wasn’t over complicated.

I used it on leap-fish-websites.com, not the one without the -’s.

You are AWESOME! And I really think you should charge more!

  46. Alex says:

    I like this design

  47. KiwiKev says:

    awesome work nick

  48. They are so beautiful, are they free to use?

  49. Chantelle says:

    Hey Nick!

I’m not a mamber of your site *yet* – but I think your designs are amazing. I have a question though – what is the max amount of pages that can be added to the top menu? Are we limited to five or can we have up to 8 (before the design breaks?)

Also – I love the slider – I think it would look great on the Project Eight website which is due for a redesign. Can this be easily altered so that background image changes when I click the arrow?

    Thanks so much :)

    • Nick says:

It really depends on the size of the text for each news item. Youve got to keep within the menu width, but it does give you some room to play about with.

I found categorising some items into a top level menu item worked quite well (www.walestoeurope.com), just to keep the design working crisply.

  50. Cedric says:

Simply amazing work. I use it for my blog. It was hard to do it (Coz i’m bad), but i love it :)
Thanks Again, you are very skilled.

    Best regards from france

  51. Adrian says:

This is nice theme, but on IE6 the menu items an footer links are not right.
    No png support.

    • Adrian says:

Hm… after a few refresh, it`s better, but the slider still has the png problem, but i do`t think people will post png images :)

      • Nick says:

IE6 is an old browser, and does not support transparent PNG’s. A JS hack has been implemented to fix it, but it’s not a perfect solution. That’s just what happens when you try to use ancient software.

  52. David Kirwan says:

Great theme. I have a bigger logo so is there anyway to lay the logo over the menu so it does not get lost behind it on the top of the page (arrange it on top)? Thanks.

  53. Nick says:

    Got this working here:
    http://www.walestoeurope.com.

Have done some custom pages (for videos) and some tinkering with the footer, but all works beautifully. Thanks a ton Nick et al, a great theme and great clean coding.

  54. ArrowStarr says:

    Nick,
I have a video production company and need to improve my website. Is there any way to combine the video header of evid and the body of TheCorporation. I am brand spanking new to WordPress and site-building, so please be kind. :-)

Your artistry and sense of balance is amazing! I spoke at a workshop last week and invited the room to visit and purchase the themes.

    ArrowStarr

  55. ArrowStarr says:

Nick, I really need your help.

Is there any way for me to hire someone to put a video player in the header of TheCorporation and have it work properly? If this is not practical, please let me know.

    Thanks Nick.

I just built our Cub Scout Pack website with the http://www.pack407.org/.

  62. I just discovered Elegant Themes not very long ago and think I’ll choose this one for my new site. I’m very impressed with your originality with your themes, and their visual appeal too. Thank you, you have a new fan!

  63. Gerrit says:

    Hi,

Thank you for this impressive theme! I’ve built a wonderful site around it. Maybe not true to the intentions of the theme, since it’s based around a bunch of guys participating in sailing & cycling, but the result still is spectacular.

Unfortunately for most readers, it’s in Dutch…

If you want to browse the site, just follow the website link. http://www.cycl-i.nl

    • Jon says:

Gerrit – how did you customize the icons for the “Service Page” area? I cannot figure it out! Thanks.

      • Jonathan says:

I have the same issue. did you find a solution ?

        Thanks

        • Gerrit says:

Hi, missed your question, so a rather late reply. Check out the documentation: 7. How do I setup the three blurbs on the homepage, below the slider?

These blurbs are created using pages. Create three pages that you would like to use for these three blurbs, then go to the Appearances > TheCorporation Theme Options page and click the General Settings > Homepage tab. Under the Service Page 1/2/3 dropdown menus, choose the three pages you would like to use. Witin the pages you can use a “more” tag to truncate the post preview.

Next you will need to assign an Icon image to each blurb. This works just like Thumbnail images, except you use the custom field name “Icon” instead. So create a custom field for each page with the name of “Icon” and a value of the icon image you would like to use. Icons must not exceed 36×36 pixels to insure optimum display.

          • Eddie Teo says:

How do you use the “more” tag? I cant seem to understand this one and cant seem to find any documentation on this.

I know there is the learn_more shortcode, but it doesnt seem to work like how i want it to be. I do not want my whole page to appear, want to truncate it to a nice size so the main page doesnt look silly.

            Thanks in advance!

  64. Jonathan says:

I need some help to setup the template

how to remove the pages below the three service info ?
How to setup the service page icon ?
How to setup the bottom menu ?

    thanks

  65. Matt Bargell says:

    Hello there!

I’m enjoying working with this TheCorp theme.

QUESTION: How do I change/set the order of the pages in the Featured Slider?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    thanks,
    Matt
