I’m back with another quick Divi 5 feature announcement. It’s a minor update that I snuck in with some overtime, because I love this feature and couldn’t live without it. 🤩
You can now search and filter the Divi 5 settings panel, making working with Divi’s vast array of design options much easier. You may be familiar with this feature in Divi 4, and due to popular demand, we brought it to Divi 5 and made it even better.
Check out the following video to see the new feature in action. 👇
The Fastest Way To Work With Settings
Divi modules have a lot of settings, and we’re only going to add more over time. Clicking through tabs and groups and scrolling through settings to pinpoint one setting you need to change can be cumbersome. That’s not unique to Divi; that’s the case with every page builder!
Settings Search & Filtering eliminates that frustrating task you probably perform hundreds of times daily.
Search By Keyword
You’ll notice a new search bar at the top of the Divi settings panel—type in any search term to filter all available options, jumping straight to your desired settings. If you know what you’re looking for, this is much faster than navigating through tabs and groups.
For seasoned Divi users, it’s a great productivity hack.
Filter By Type And State
In addition to searching by keyword, you can also filter by settings type or state.
My favorite filter is the “modified” filter, which only displays your modified settings. It’s easy to identify things you might want to change, especially when working with new layout packs or starter sites you aren’t familiar with.
Stop hunting for that color you want to change and browse your modified settings.
There are other convenient filters, too. You can filter by settings type, such as colors and sizes, and we added a few specific filters that we thought would be useful, such as font families and font weights, which are some of the most commonly modified settings in every module.
Let us know what you think in the comments. Are there other filters we should add?
Try Divi 5 Today
Settings Search & Filtering for Divi 5 is available today, and it’s one of many features coming to Divi this year.
You can follow along as we progress through the final release of Divi 5 and beyond, with updates every two weeks. Depending on your priorities, you can use Divi 5 now to build new websites or wait until we add more features, whatever works best for you.
As outlined in Divi 5’s original multi-phase release schedule, the Divi 5 Public Alpha is like “Divi 5 Lite.” It’s missing a few features and may not be suitable for existing websites, but it’s ready to be used on new websites if you prefer the experience to Divi 4.
We want you to try it, and if you love it, use it; when everyone loves it, we’ll make it official.
Sneak Peek: Loop Builder
We’re building features fast. Every time we finish a new feature, we start a new one. Whenever we start a new feature, I give you a sneak peek.
In case you missed it, check out last week’s feature sneak peek, where I showcased Divi’s upcoming Loop Builder.
The idea behind Divi’s loop builder is simple: loop anything! You can create new post-based content by looping sections, rows, columns, groups, modules, and sub-elements.

More Divi 5 Updates Are On The Way
2025 is the year of Divi 5. The tedious work is behind us. We built the super-fast foundation, and now it’s time for Divi to make its comeback.
If you’re here for the Divi comeback, do us a huge favor and let us know by liking this video and leaving a comment. It means a lot to us to see you cheering Divi on, and it’s essential to feed the algorithm and spread the word.
Don’t forget to follow us on YouTube and subscribe to the Divi newsletter so you never miss an update. I’ll see you soon for another Divi 5 feature announcement, which I promise will be right around the corner. 😁
I’m a big fan of the “Modified Styles” option, so I’m really glad to see it return in Divi 5! In Divi 4, I used to rely on the filter to quickly locate a specific setting – like a CSS class – and then switch between modules to update it without losing my place. In Divi 5, it seems the search and filter are tied to the currently active tab (Content, Design, or Advanced), and switching modules always resets to the Content tab. If there’s a way to make the filter work across all tabs or retain the active tab when switching modules, that would be amazing. Thanks for all the thoughtful improvements – Divi 5 is shaping up beautifully!
I agree, I think Divi should just keep you in your current tab when switching between modules.
Yay! This is great. The search functionality was always super useful in Divi 4, ESPECIALLY the modified styles filter.
Would also be extremely helpful to have some sort of contextual indication that styles are modified on responsive breakpoints and specifically which of the breakpoints have modified styles.
Thanks for all of the great work.
+1
