New Theme: SimplePress
SimplePress is a slick new page-based theme great for anyone looking to give their website a clean and professional look. My goal with this design was to make something similar to our other business-oriented themes, but with a simpler and crisper aesthetic. The theme features a un-bloated bloated homepage with a beautiful javascript slider and clear hierarchy, as well as fully functional Blog and Gallery sections. Juste a quick question : Is it possible to slow the slider a bit ? It switches really fast.
You can adjust the speed of the slider from within ePanel.

There are countless social networking plugins out there to choose from. I would give some of them a try. I am sure you will find one that suits you.

Hi, how can i show the Category Page of my Blog in the normal version like here ( http://www.elegantthemes.com/preview/SimplePress/?cat=3 ) and not in the Gallery Version like here http://fiveload.com/images/galleryblo.png ?
I have the same problem.I know if i select the “featured image”that will show a picture. but then the post don’t show thumbnail any more.
by the way, chinese title can’t show as title, any help?
I found the problem of mine.the Cufon can’t render chinese,so the theme can’t show my title in chinese..
You can disable the gallery feature in ePanel.

Great to see another CMS focussed design online, Nick, and the gallery/portfolio looks easily customisable to include some excerpt text with each image. Keep them coming!

can’t see m to get full width page on blo page (I have static home page)
“Full Width” is a page template, which only works on pages.

Is there a way when you select a ‘gallery’ category if you could make it to where you can categorize under the gallery? So could sub categories under the gallery be galleries as well?

I am using simple press and I can’t get the three page blurbs at the bottom of Home to be blurbs. It is showing the whole story. I have tried manual exerpts and other standard methods for exerpts and I just can’t get it to work.
Any ideas?
Place “” minus the quotes in your HTML on each page where you want the text to stop being displayed on the home page.

I like the gallery work
Unbelievably customizable theme with the new shortcodes! Absolutely surpasses anything I have used to date! The learning curve is a bit higher, given the amount of options, but the editor is well laid out and I love features like drop cap and the ability to opt in or out of adding an author bio to posts.

Great theme. I’m trying to get the homepage sliders to display images from Pages but I can’t seem to find any documentation on how to do that. I tried the custom field, “thumbnail”, but that doesn’t work. Documentation is a little lacking.
