We hosted our very first Divi Network Meetup this month! Or, as we endearingly call it, our “Mega Meetup.” 😅 Did you catch it? Spearheaded by Divi Sacramento and accompanied by Divi Atlanta, Divi Chicago, Divi Los Angeles, and Divi Salt Lake City, all 56 Divi meetup groups were invited and we had quite the turnout!
October was a big month for the Divi Meetup Network! We held our first official Mega Meetup – a collaborative event headed up by Divi Sacramento, with co-organization by Divi Chicago, Divi Salt Lake City, Divi Atlanta, and Divi Los Angeles. The theme was “Starting and Building a Divi-based Business”, and included a Q&A-style panel featuring Tim Strifler from Divi Life, Ania Romańska from Divi Lover, Mike Devitt from Divi Chat, and Eric Dingler from Intransit Studios. Some topics included business tips for developers, good business practices for web designers, marketing to new clients, building a client base, and more. If you missed the live event, you can catch the recording here.
Join us next month for our 2nd edition of our Black Friday Bonanza spearheaded by Divi Chicago! More information to come!
Now take a peek at how some of our other Divi meetups spent their October!
Divi Cape Town in South Africa
From the Host, Dirk Tolken:
This month we covered email and how to best send emails from WordPress. We also discussed how to make them look nice and explained the value of transactional email. We’re enjoying new faces joining in from around the globe!
Making our hearts swell, Divi Cape Town! ♥️
Divi Chicago, Illinois, United States
From the Hosts, Joan Margau & Scott Winterroth:
Divi Round Table Discussion and Q&A.
At this meetup, we connected with Divi users from Australia and Canada, and around the US. Everyone participated and we talked for a full hour non-stop. Sharing information, solving problems, and learning how to vertically align content the simple CSS way.
The Plugins and onetime deals are coming! The Black Friday Bonanza Divi Meetup is around the corner. We’re working on it with the help of Divi-NYC, Divi-Cape-Town, Divi-Milwaukee, and Raquel Landefeld of Elegant Themes. Check on Meetup.com for the announcement and make sure you RSVP.
Yasss, Divi Chicago! 💥
Divi Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, USA
From the Host, Tommy Lee & Kent Pilkington:
Divi DFW this month was focused on the recent Condition Options feature released by Divi. During the meetup discussed how this feature allows you to customize websites based on user behavior and talked about use cases. We demoed an abandoned cart scenario and explained how it was set up. Overall, our group is growing because we’re staying up to date with Divi’s latest features, and have diverse members at all experience levels.
Keep it coming, Tommy and Kent! We love it! 🤸🏻♀️
Divi Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
From the Hosts, Tracy Champagne & Phil Reinhardt:
For October we discussed How to set up custom headers and footers in Divi – with [an] open q&a session. We had a good turnout and a good discussion.
Bringing the fire, Divi Milwaukee! 🔥
Divi Tampa, Florida, USA
From the Host, Steve Willingham:
We had 7 members attending out of 12 sign-ups. Most attendees were from the Tampa Bay [area], but one was connecting from Connecticut. We had very interesting discussions about number 3 showing up in Divi menus and shared a nice solution for that. Also shared our thoughts and joy for the latest Divi update that has full site front-end editing. We shared screens and links to our various sites wherein we shared our questions about the user experience or presentation. All-in-all this was a fun and informative get-together.
Keeping it strong, Divi Tampa! 💪🏼
