Thanks to Alexandru Juc for providing me with some information to help me get started.
My issue was more about the server and he provided me with the enough information to start searching for more details about how to do this. Luckily I have done this once before so I was able to fill in some of the details he left out, such as creating a php.info file to check the settings, and creating a User.ini file so I could change the server configurations.
It's tough being a newbie so any help is always appreciated.
