  1. Wow! Looks like it’s going to be a beautiful theme. Can’t wait til this drops!

    • woowwwwwww Cant wait to download ???

      • Looks great! Hope its released soon!

      • Me toooooooooooooooo!

    • Good job!

      • Thanks Peter!

    • Thanks Ryan, it shouldn’t be too long πŸ™‚

    • This is the theme I was looking for. Hope it will come soon.

  2. It Seems that it will be awesome…

    • Thanks Alexandre, I sure hope so! Let us know if you have any suggestions or requests.

      • Hi Nick, I hope this suggestion goes through. I am thinking of an Elegant Theme’s Framework, similar to what Genesis and Thesis is doing. Since I, as a developer, is already accustomed to Elegant’s interface and already made some work-arounds that works throughout the other Elegant themes, why not come up with a framework that we can all use to develop websites that uses the underlying functionalities and power that is unique to Elegant themes?

Maybe unique to this framework is the ease-of-use of customizing the website that made Elegant themes so easy to adapt especially to newbies.

  3. WOW! Nice design…Love the tiles in home page…Can’t wait…

  4. This theme will rock. Waiting, it should have dark theme also

    • Admin, kindly add 300px Google ad banner size and 125 Square slot with affiliate code integration. Please.

      • Thanks for the suggestion. We will try to include as many add options as possible.

        • Thank you for taking my suggestion. Hope this theme also have a Top Navigation Scrolling across the pages like “Vertex”.

And If you Add the “Team Feature” in this Blog will be Great !

Because Every Blog Member has Team Authors, And this “Vertex” Style will be Great !

        • Hi Nick, I agree with Sri. Most common ad that media use is 300×250, but most ET use 250 width, can you please make this one with 300x width?

          • Yes! My only issue with my elegant theme is that I cant customize the width! Why isn’t that an option? It is enough of a problem that I am telling others to go with a different theme when the ask my advice and compliment my blog redesign. If I had known before I went to the effort do do a redesign that width isn’t customizable I would have going with another premium theme. My developer liked your themes so I went with them thinking that changing the width isn’t a big deal and surely would be a simple process. Next time I’ll go with someone else unless you fix this problem.

      • Yes please add 300px Google Adsense side banner, this is my best performing ad size

        • Totally agree with Sri. About the theme: sold!

  5. Excellent! I’ve been wondering when you would do a magazine theme, and this looks great. Nice style and I love the square/block header.

    • Thanks David. It has been a while since we last created a magazine theme, so I am exited to work on one again. I am sure that it will be our best one yet!

      • I don’t know how you plan on “besting” Lucid. Lucid is awesome. This one is perfect for my next personal project….but honestly, besting Lucid is a pretty tall order Nick.

  6. Beautiful work, guys! Very impressed with the last few themes you’ve released. Keep it up!

    • Thanks Joshua, that is great to hear. I hope the streak continues πŸ™‚

    • Sounds like a great use for this theme Syed πŸ™‚

  7. It looks really good. When do you think it will be available?

    • We hope to finish it within a couple weeks.

  8. I know you can’t support every plugin under the sun, but do you know if you’re doing anything custom with the sidebars that might interfere with Content Aware Sidebars? It’s a plugin that can display a custom sidebar with a unique set of widgets based on things like the post’s category, a specific post or page, etc.

    • I am not familiar with the plugin, but we do our best to code with WordPress Best Practices, and if the plugin does the same then it should work fine.

    • David,

Have you checked out woo sidebars. You can download it directly from wp-repository. It works perfect with Elegant Themes. I use it on a few Elegant Theme based sites for that exact purpose. See if it helps ya out.

  9. NOW . . . I can begin my blog project that is 3 years in the making. This looks like a dream to me. Ah, but it is real!

    • Sounds great Eric, I am sure that the theme will serve your project well!

  10. I want it, and I want it now !!! πŸ™‚

    • We are working to finish it ASAP πŸ™‚

  11. WOW looks stunning with amazing style. Good luck. I’m waiting for this theme. πŸ™‚

    • Thanks Furqan! We will do our best to not keep you waiting too long.

  12. I’m not a subscriber, but am seriously considering joining as a Developer member. This theme looks pretty impressive so cannot wait to see it. You’re page builder is also tempting me to join up.

Can I ask if your websites are compatible with WooCommerce?

  13. Where’s my comment gone?

    Have you deleted it?

    • You just need to wait for it to be approved…

      • Being impatient – Sorry!

  14. Very Nice! The theme looks beautiful and colorful. I hope it will have a rating support on each post.

    • We plan to integrate a reviews system.

      • That makes me even more excited about this (though it changes the project I intended to use this with a bit). Good stuff.

  15. This theme looks great. I can’t wait to try it. Also a request to you guys, please come up with more Magazine style themes.

    • Thanks for the suggestion Asif. We try to make a good variation of themes, but I am sure this will not be our last Magazine theme πŸ™‚

  16. Love it – when’s it live – got a project waiting πŸ™‚

    • Great Roger, I am sure the theme will serve your project well.

  17. When do you think this theme will be available for download?

I’m thinking about joining ET as a developer member and think this theme and your page builder might just tempt me.

    • We hope to finish the theme without a couple weeks.

  18. Yeah nice News- Theme πŸ™‚

    • Thanks Ronny πŸ™‚

  19. I have a client this would be perfect for. Being a member has really paid off. When will this be available?

    • That’s great to hear. I think you will continue to find that $39/$89 per year is a real steal πŸ™‚ We should have this theme finished without a couple weeks.

  20. Awesome theme nick, when will be published?

    • We hope to finish the theme without a couple weeks. Stay tuned πŸ™‚

  21. AMAZING… I haven’t words… very very nice. I will use this theme for sure… Congrats guys. I’m happy to have my account πŸ™‚

    • Thanks, we appreciate the compliments!

  22. Now this looks good! Yes, thanks!

    • Thanks Caroline πŸ™‚

  23. Looks good. Space for titles is bigger than usual. Wonder whether the middle column could be used to post smaller items (post types) like quotes and links

    • The sidebars are widgetized, so you could put many different things there. The theme will come with several custom widgets as well.

  24. Parece muito sexy este thema, gostei bastante, parabΓ©ns!!!

  25. this is good and would love to see boxed style because would look great

    • Thanks. What do you mean by “boxed style” exactly?

      • “Boxed” means without horizontal fullscreen images. For example: the “Flexible theme” from ET has a typical boxed design.

  26. Wow, looks really nice – canΒ΄t wait!

    • Thanks, I’m glad to hear it!

  27. I like it very much. Can you tell me when I can use it?

    • Thanks Mariska. It should be ready within a couple weeks.

  28. Love it, cant wait to use it. Hope its ready soon. Would like to see a theme with the possiblity that visitors can download pdf documents. When is this going to happen?

    • It shouldn’t be hard to do this already, with any theme. All you need to do is link to the pdf file on your server.

  29. That looks beautiful! Already got a use for it in mind! Can’t wait for the release, thanks for sharing the preview!

    • Thanks Geoffrey πŸ™‚

  30. I like the home page. It looks elegant and well arranged. Hope this theme also have the sticky header.

    • Yes, a sticky header would be nice. I like this feature! If there is not, it’s not too difficult to add one.

      • Yes… that would be my number one request is sticky top Navigation

    • Thanks for the suggestion. I will keep it in mind.

  31. Love the look of this theme Nick. I’m currently looking for a theme that I can use to preview youtube videos. Just wondering if it would be possible for the posts to open up a youtube video on the home screen? For example, the picture of the girl with the big glasses. If a user could click on her and have the ability to watch a video.

    • I don’t expect that videos will be integrated directly into the featured area. They would take you to your post, where you could embed a video.

  32. Nice! Will it be responsive?

    • Yes, it will definitely be responsive. Responsiveness is a requirement for all our new themes.

      • That’s awesome news, can’t wait to use this theme. It looks like everything I’ve been waiting for.

  33. WoW ! This theme rocks.

It looks very elegant and well arranged.

    Love the colors !

Nick, do you confirm a reviews system ???

    • Yes we plan to integrate a start rating system similar to InReview.

  34. Breathtaking, a stunning magazine style truly…love the grid! Contemplating to using Aggregate to power a christian mag coming up soon, now you struck once again. How would one know where to post for other categories? I can see recent postbfrom environment post type beneath the theme. Also, is the popular this week a custom post format for audio post?

Aside, a lot of schools are gearing towards WordPress but you only have general purpose theme for them…how about that?

Thanks for for creating awesome themes.

  35. It looks great!

    • Thanks Kay!

  36. Just a few hours ago, I came to the realization that I was going to have to design my own magazine theme for a hobby site of mine that I’m going to start working on this week. I thought to myself “it’s cool, you won’t be ready to start working on design for at least a few weeks, so you’ll still launch on time”

….and then came a little notification about a css designed magazine theme named Nexus by ET. Go figure. Thanks a ton, this will be perfect, now my design time will only be about 3-6 hours for a child theme instead of 3-4 days for a theme from scratch.

    I friggin’ love Elegant Themes!

    • Sounds like it was meant to be Kev! We will do our best to have the theme released soon.

  37. HI Nick waiting for theme something like job portal or matrimonial portal.

it will be great to your theme collection.

hope you will do it soon.

    • Thanks for the suggestion. We will certainly keep it in mind for future theme releases.

  38. Looks like content rich magazine theme.

It will be great for news portal and community magazine website.

    Looking forward for it’s release.

    • Thanks Ashita. The theme will certainly be content rich. The challenge is to have rich content without a cluttered design πŸ™‚

      • You’re right Nick,

These days clutterless design are in trend.

  39. Wow shocking news!!! Great Look a perfect magazine theme. very different then your other themes ET πŸ™‚ Such a Great work. Roach your team done fantastic job. Hope release soon

    • Thanks Dipak. It has been a while since we have worked on a magazine theme, and I am sure this will be a worth addition to our collection πŸ™‚

  40. Looks charming and awesome….

    can’t wait for released……….

    superb work ET team!!!!

    • Thanks Dhaval!

  41. This looks awesome! I have found you guys over-delivered when it comes to your themes and support. I can’t wait for this one to be available. My only request would be for my slider options.

    • Thanks Lisa, I am glad to hear it! We do our bes to over deliver in all aspects of the business! I dont think this theme will have sliders on the homepage, however, we have a few slider shortcodes that can be used throughout the website.

  42. Looks great…

TheSource was my favorite for some special websites… but it seems that can be replaced for future websites with Nexus πŸ™‚

    • Nexus would be a great alternative to TheSource if you are looking fo something new πŸ™‚

  43. This theme should be really nice and should allow me to launch my project. Will there be a way to decide whether or not to keep the middle column in the epanel? Also one thing I’d love see in your themes is the possibility to quickly and easily change the look of the pictures for articles on the homepage to achieve something that looks like what they did on http://phlearn.com/ (see the ipad look + social links and number of comments below the article’s summary). Would be nice to be able to change those pictures by something independent from the feature image.
Finally in the contact page, a map would be handy (switch on / off in the epanel); something nice like this http://themeforest.net/item/classico-responsive-retina-multipurpose-theme/full_screen_preview/4974485

    • Thanks for the suggestions Patrice. There will be a choice between 1 or 2 sidebars. As for your other points, I will keep them in mind during development!

  44. Wow! Looks good. If the usability is also great, than it will be new theme for my website. Best regards

    • Great, I am sure that it will work out well for you. Stay tuned for its release.

  45. Now this is a theme I’m definitely looking forward to. Ultra modern and professional magazine theme, perfect for so many sites I have planned. Great work Elegant team.

    • Thanks Nige, I’m happy to share your excitement for the theme!

  46. I am really looking forward to giving this one a try. Good job πŸ™‚

    • Thanks James!

  47. Hi Nick, great theme!! Nice formats and waiting to give it a testdrive. Thumbs up.

    • Thanks John, stay tuned for the theme release within the next few weeks.

  48. great theme as usual, will it be possible to take away the second column?

    • Yes there will be an option to choose between a 1 sidebar or 2 sidebar layout.

  49. Looks great, Nick. Keep up the good work matey.

  50. Looking like you best theme yet, Nick you are spoiling us, This is just what I have been looking for and will do a perfect job for my blog, Keep them coming and keep up the great work.

    • Thanks Marc, we love to spoil our customers πŸ™‚

  51. Looks really cool. Have a project in mind for it already. Besst value membership site ever !

    • Thanks Joseph! It’s hard to beat what we offer for only $39! And it’s only going to get better and better πŸ™‚

  52. Wow! Looks great! And it might be just what I’ve been waiting for regarding new design of my web page.
And I can se that ad management is included! How will the ads be presented when scaled down to mobile devices, will they still be visible?

    • Thanks Lasse. We are still debating the best method for dealing with responsive ads.

  53. This theme looks great, but is it possible to adjust an agenda or journal to it?

    • Hi Jaqueline. I am not sure what you mean by your question. Would you mind elaborating?

      • What I mean is upcoming events on the homepage

  54. This is the theme I’ve been waiting for. It’s beautiful and functional.

    • Thanks Jonathan. You only need to wait a bit longer πŸ™‚

  55. suport to woocommerce
    pls pls

    • Thanks for the suggestion. I am not sure if we will focus on eCommerce with this theme, but I will certainly keep it in mind.

  56. Cool theme!

    I wait of them!
Make you a theme for nonprofit organization?

Thanks for your themes, i liked!

    —— stooni

    • Thanks for the suggestion Stooni.

  57. I think, “Nexus” is going to rock in MAGAZINE WORDPRESS THEME!

    Looking forward the release…

    ALL THE BEST. πŸ™‚ @Nick

  58. Ok, I see all the praises and I agree that the theme looks good but it looks like just another blog theme. Don’t get me wrong, it looks good but as with other themes I’ve been searching for, that say they are magazine themes, they lack many necessary features to call themselves, as this one, a magazine theme.

    1) Where is the actual magazine cover? I don’t see what the magazine looks like for the current month.

    2) Where is the Subscription link? Magazines need you to subscribe .

    3) Where is the section for the writers of the magazine or even the Editor? Like a “meet our writers” section.

    4) Would be great to see how many views, likes, and comments in the featured section for each post like this site http://www.cgarchitect.com

If you want to make a great “Magazine” theme then take a look at these 3 magazine sites: http://www.relevantmagazine.com, http://www.theverge.com, http://www.yesmagazine.com

Just trying to give some constructive criticism…

    • Thanks for the suggestions David. The term “Magazine Theme” doesn’t usually mean that the theme is for a print magazine. Rather, it’s an online publication that mimics a magazine in function (lots of content, categories, visuals, etc).

As for subscriptions – subscriptions are handled via eMail, either via RSS or newsletter managers such as MailChimp. These can easily be embedded into widgets.

As for authors – WordPress automatically creates a category for each of your authors. If you want to link to a list of an authors post, this can be done with any theme. You can link to them in your navigation bar, or in your sidebar via a widget. Author links are also included in the meta of each post.

I like the idea about showing the number of views. We will keep this in mind πŸ™‚ Thanks for the suggestions!

      • Also, your top slider is always mush too big, in every theme. Please make it size changeable!

  59. Another great one Nick, looks great so far. Keep up the great work, and keep the themes coming please!!!

    • Thanks Justin, we will πŸ™‚

  60. Looks very good πŸ˜‰

    • Thanks Emile!

  61. Finally ….an updated magazine theme. This will work perfectly with a project I have updating my site. Can’t wait.

    • That’s great to hear Tony. I hope that the theme can take your project to the next level πŸ™‚

  62. Wow. This is what I’ve been waiting for! All the things I wished the Lucid theme had, looks like you nailed it with this one! A place for sponsors, easy locations for monetization … and this is just the front page! I’m soooo excited. I’m assuming it is responsive too! Wow. Did I say that already. When is this amazing theme coming!

    • Yep, the theme will definitely be responsive!

  63. Hi Nick cantastic looking theme! An exciting option for those of us currently using TheSource.

Here’s another vote for the option to remove either column 2 or column 3. That would be EXTREMELY flexible option to have for magazines/blogs that have a minimal 2 column layout.

Also in the featured area/main banner- is there any chance this can be turned into a slider with a toggle (I.e slider on/off)? Again would give users many more options to take advantage of this beautiful theme and gracefully display more content, without taking up additional space in the body.

Lastly- can the number of preview lines for a post be customised? I.e show 3 or 4 lines as opposed to 2 lines shown for each post/article above?

    Brilliant work guys!!

    • Thanks for the suggestions Chico. There will definitely be an option to adjust the number of columns. We will keep your other suggestions in mind as well.

  64. Definitely looks good, hope the sample pages are ready to import so when we downloads, we get the exact theme as it looks. Love the direction your themes are going, i must go and upgrade to lifetime membership soon!

    • Unfortunately we can’t give you the exact demo content as our demos include copyrighted photos from shutterstock. However, all of our themes do some with the alternate sample data that can be uploaded as outlined in the theme’s readme file.

  65. Looks really nice,,Im definitely going to use it for my publishing site..isetthetrend.com!! Do you guys have a date yet??

    • We don’t have a set release date, but I would estimate 2-3 weeks.

  66. Wonderful Theme with fresh design and colours. I love it. I could imagine to use it for a fashion site or whatever hip content. Looking forward!

    • Thanks Peter. I think that a fashion blog would be the perfect use case for this theme πŸ™‚

  67. Great! Can’t wait to see it in full!

    • Thanks Jaap! Stay tuned for its release in the next few weeks.

  68. Looks great, just like all your other creations!

    • Thanks Kun, we put a lot of care into each of our new designs πŸ™‚

  69. Hi Nick,
Love your work mate!!! Great design skills. Very professional look & its great that you guys continue to push more themes out.

Just one thing … it would be great if you could get some integration in wordpress for theme updates. Would be great not to have to down load individual themes to update them.

Keep up the top work!!! Very impressed. πŸ™‚

    • Thanks for the suggestion Chris. This is definitely something we have though about, and something that we will consider implementing in the future if possible.

  70. Looks like a real hot one πŸ˜‰ (Can’t wait)

    • Thanks Ray πŸ™‚

    • Thanks Jackie. I’m glad to hear it!

  71. clean design with fresh colors, just simply superb design

  72. I’d like to see a Sales / Store option added in.

    • Thanks for the suggestion Chris. I don’t think that we will focus on eCommerce for the initial release of this theme, though it may be something we can integrate later on.

  73. Nice theme It has many features

    • Thanks Apri πŸ™‚

    • Thanks Myriam, I am sure that the theme will serve your new blog well πŸ™‚

  74. Nick,
Love to see your move back to a magazine theme for this next offering. It looks really clean and content rich.

Can I suggest the one thing becoming attractive in other themes is customisable homepages or themes that offer 3-5 frontpage layouts. This would be really important for a magazine style. It seems most of the support questions in Elegantthemes are around changing masthead size, logo size, menu option size and space and placement of content. A customisable homepage would be a real bonus going forward.

    • Thanks for the suggestion Andrew. We have some idea around customization for this theme. There will be options to adjust the # of columns, and possibly a builder tool for stacking your homepage content using custom modules. *possibly* We’ll see!

  75. Looking very good!

Will this support similar post type options to Fable? I really like the video and gallery formats you’ve added to that theme but the layout and feel of Nexus is probably closer to what I want for my site.

  76. Just wow! πŸ˜€

    • πŸ™‚

  77. Veeery nice indeed! Quite excited about this and great to see more content/widget opportunities on the homepage.

Only thing I am wondering about is related to the feature slider. I would love to display thumbs & videos in the slider from various categories, is this possible? Or is it thumbs from pages only or one single category only?

Woo-commerce compatibility would just put the icing on that cake before I eat it up!

    really great job thank you!

  78. What about Rtl?

    • The theme will only come with LTR I’m afraid. RTL will require some modification.

  79. Very good design. Before we go ahead and subscribe could you please explain:
    1. In order the ET themes to work like your demos do I need to subscribe for the extra plugins etc
    2. The categories/sections for this theme do they have special layout, like feature/top stories or secondary items like the front page
    3. They layout of each news item page does it have a special layout, like some smart news sites… left side info, related stories etc
    3. Is it possible in the front to present top or latest stories of each news section? See some major news/magazine sites
    4. Is it possible to incorporate WooCommerce too
I believe this theme has a lot of potentials. Good luck with the sales.

  80. Looking to start a new website on money saving . Wondering if you will incorporate something for the likes of adsense and affiliate links / tracking?

    • We hope to integrate adsense, but it depends on how we can design the theme to be responsive without hiding ads and breaking their terms of service. We are still looking into the best solution.

  81. Just the exact theme style I’ve been looking for! Magazine and grid-based, yet clear and concise. Just enough white space!

Planning a rockin’ new music station and this will be the visual counterpart. Yea! Ready to launch when you are…maybe by sometime in July?

    • Hopefully the theme will be ready in a few weeks.

  82. Now THIS, I love!! Finally something different. Hooray!! I can’t wait for this one, I WILL be downloading it as soon as it’s available.

    • That’s great to hear Charnita!

  83. Hi nick is this theme going to be responsive as well?

Can the comment forms have a captcha option like the contact form template?

Is there any chance of having some form of newsletter subscription integration or membership system?

As WP 3.6 is under way will this theme be packed with post type format options?

    • 1) Yes the theme will be responsive.

      2) The comment form will use the standard WP comment functionality. I don’t think there is a need for captcha so long as you are using akistmet to prevent spam.

      3) As for newsletters, I would suggest simply using a widget to display your opt-in form, but we might consider making a specifically styled form.

      4) I think you are referring to “post formats,” which were originally going to see a big change in 3.6. Unfortunately they canceled this, although post formats have been a part of WordPress in basic form for a long time and many of our themes use the system.

  84. I’m excited – beautiful work as always, a future request would be to have a few more themes where the logo and the navigation share the same top level, and there are fewer vertical chunks taken up, where things don’t get pushed a little down the page quite as much. Despite this personal preference, thanks for amazing work, aesthetically and technically

    • Thanks for the suggestion Bryan. I understand your concern with having more content “above the fold,” however I don’t think that it’s something that people should be too concerned about these days. Main elements such as navigation should certainly be visible without scrolling, but the post feed is something people expect to scroll though. That’s my opinion anyway!

      • I have to disagree, Nick.

The psychology of grabbing people with your “Above the fold” content has never changed. If you don’t grab people there, it’s quite likely that they’ll never scroll past it.

A lot of your themes are colorful and attractive from a design perspective, but they also have to accomplish marketing purpose.

This isn’t a knock on you. It’s just your style and that’s fine. If, however, there was a way to have an option for a one-line header with logo and navigation, that would be accomplishing both purposes.

I see a lot of themes in other marketplaces that offer multiple home page templates, and this would seem to be relatively easy to do.

        Thanks for listening, Nick.

        • The original poster’s request wasn’t about having or not having a call to action. It was a request to remove white space so that more content is crammed up above the folder.

As for your reply, our themes do grab attention above the fold, just look at our lastest themes. Every single one features a prominent slider or call to action. As with this theme, you can see clearly that it has a large featured area. My point is that you don’t need to try and cram everything on your homepage above the fold. It’s just not necessary and it only adds confusion to what should be a simple flow for your visitor.

Cramming too many options above the fold completely defeats the purpose of what the original poster really wants – increased engagement and conversions. Too much above the fold is distracting, and will only cause people to click the back button when they don’t have a clear path to follow.

          • Points well taken. There certainly is a difference between a call to action and cramming in content above the fold.

            Understanding that difference is pretty
important. Back to the original request, can you include a option that will place the logo and nav on one line…or perhaps a small tutorial with the download that will give the user a step-by-step walkthrough of getting that done?

I’d like to do that and I’m sure many others would as well.

            Thanks, Nick.

        • +1

  85. It’s really a great magazine style theme. Can’t wait for it to be ready !

Would be perfect if this theme also comes with Unlimited Colorschemes’ Color Control Panel (http://www.elegantthemes.com/demo/?theme=Chameleon) so we can change the color easier. More options in the Color Control Panel would be even better for greater personalization of the theme.

Great work, and looking forward to use it!

    • All of our new themes come with some great color options. We use the Theme Customizer now, which is even easier to use than the ePanel system that comes with Chameleon. You can check out our latest theme demos like Foxy or Vertex for an example.

      • Great to hear that Nick. Glad I had joined ET and can’t wait to use this theme!

  86. Proud member of ET…. Hehehe
I hope any features related post in single post, have rich snipsets and author google plus profile in SERP google…

    Thanks for magazine theme….

    • Thanks for the suggestion!

  87. Nick,

You do a nice job with updating your themes.

Do you plan to offer an auto-loading feature for older posts that keeps populating the page as the reader scrolls further down?

    • Thanks Jerry. I don’t think this theme will feature an infinite scroll due to the various block elements on the homepage. Such a feature would only work for a single list of posts.

      • I searched under “WordPress, infinite scroll plugin” and found a number of options, and will check them out when the theme is released.

I’m sure a good plugin will work with some themes and not with others, given your point about the elements involved, but maybe there’s something in there that will serve the purpose.

          • Hi Jerry & Nick,

I’ve been using Nexus for my new website, meditationmag.com. I’m trying to integrate infinite scroll. If it won’t work with multiple block elements (like Nick said), I don’t mind using just one block element per page so that the infinite scroll will work.

I tried Jetpack and it didn’t work. All I did was put the “theme support” code into the functions.php file… it did nothing. Jerry, did you get the Jetpack to work for infinite scroll? If yes, how did you do it? If not…

Nick, do you know if there will ever be infinite scroll for Nexus? I really love the theme, this lack of infinite scroll is a major problem for me though πŸ™

  88. Wonderful! Can’t wait until I can try it out.

    • Thanks Marlene. Stay tuned for the release!

  89. Looks great Nick!! Yeah, it’s been long since you came up with a magazine theme. Really happy to see myriad of themes from ET for the couple of months.

    • Thanks Kalyan. Our last magazine theme, Lucid, has become one of our most used themes. I am sure that Nexus will be even better!

  90. woow.. i can’t wait… it’s looks very nice… as always Nick…

    • Thanks!

  91. Really nice theme. Is it a responsive theme?

    • Yes it will be responsive, in fact, any new theme we make will be.

  92. I like these magazine type themes, not because of their looks :), but because I can adapt them for my ecomerce sites. Can’t wait to get it.

  93. Beautiful theme!

I am looking for a theme to use for a non profit. Do you have any suggestions..or will you please build one for non profits?
I need something to promote their programs, events, and fundraising.

    • I think that any of our more general themes could work great for a non profit site, such as Nimble, Chameleon, Modest, SimplePress, Evolution, etc.

  94. Looks good although you already have a magazine theme perhaps this is a modernisation. You do not have an auction theme, would you plan on doing one? eBay styleee?

    • We don;t have any specific plans to do an ebay theme, but we will certain keep your suggestion in mind, While we do have other “magazine” themes, this one has a much different design and will come with some great new features as well.

      • Yes I like it

    • Thanks Seth, I appreciate it!

  95. Hurry! I need this one… yesterday! Seriously, it’s beautiful!

    • We are working hard. We will have the theme ready as soon as possible πŸ™‚

  96. Very beatiful theme !!

    • Thanks Marco!

  97. It seems… simply amazing Nick!
I love this kind of structure… you are always the best πŸ™‚

    • Thanks Roberto. The magazine structure is certainly in high demand, so we hope that our members find this theme useful πŸ™‚

  98. Looks great! When will it be released?

    • We hope to finish it within a few weeks.

  99. Nice! theme, you themes everybody Goood!! son los Mejores.

  100. Beautiful theme Nick! I would really like you to add a “featured authors/contributors” widget for the home page.

This would include a photo , short bio, and social media links.

    • Thanks for the suggestion Tricia. We plan to do something along those lines.

  101. I love it, love it, love it! Great job guys. (please add 300x ad banner πŸ˜‰ )

    • Thanks for the suggestion Marc. We will add as many ad variations as we can.

  102. Great design! Definitely in need of a new magazine style theme. Can’t wait to try this one out.

  103. That’s what I was looking from Eleganthemes since, so long!

    When it’s coming out?

    • It should be ready in a couple weeks Pete.

  104. Looks great. I always felt Elegant themes needed more mag-type themes. Good to see a fresh design. Would be interesting to see a inside page.. fixed or fluid?

    And when is the release?

    • It should be ready in a couple weeks.

  105. Can you please tell me when this theme will be available for download?

    • We are hoping to have the theme ready in about a week and a half.

  106. Any chance of including a mega menu? Pretty handy for magazine style sites with lots of content. Looks super slick. I have an idea for it already.

    • We will keep it in mind, thanks for the suggestion.

  107. Can you do for these new theme something? I would like that all posts and pages to have smalls but visible 3 buttons: views (how many people saw it), votes (the people can vote the article up to 10 points and the note must be showed) and comments ( to show the number of comments regarding that article. This will be great and I think many people would like it very much especilly me :-).
    Thank you

    • Thanks for the suggestion Nicoleta.

  108. I am big fan of Magazine Themes and this is one of the best looking Magazine theme. Seems like its 3 column but i personally like the 2 column simply because its less cluttered..

Can’t wait to download and give it a spin… πŸ˜‰

    • YOu will be able to choose between 1 or 2 columns. The columns will also collaps on smaller screens.

  109. A couple of suggestions:
    1. Is it possible at the front page top photos, under the main menu, instead of the date of publication green square to present the news category or at least to have this option?
    2. Can we have the option the top front page photos to cover all the space instead to have the empty black frame around them.

  110. Can we have the option of setting up the theme with 2 columns, instead of the 3 columns shown above? So, for example I could have recent posts listed across the page, then recent videos underneath that, with the ad column on the right.

    • There will be able option to choose between 3 or 2 columns.

  111. looks great. looking forward to the live demo..

    • Thanks Mark, stay tuned.

  112. I will like so much If you Add the β€œTeam Feature” in this Blog will be Great !
I have a Member Team Authors, but I don’t have a place to show them to the visitors.
Like avatars and when you click over, show all posts of the author and bio. It will be fantastic.

  113. JUST WHAT I NEED!!!!!!

  114. When will you reales the theme? it looks amazing can’t wait πŸ™‚

    • We are shooting for a release date next week.

  115. Any chance this will come out before the weekend. I’m hoping to spend the weekend working on building my site with this script. Thanks again!!

    • I am afraid not. The theme wont be ready for at least another week or two.

  116. Looks really grate, but…

I really think ET need a more universal theme. Not a blog / magazine / portfolio. A theme there can fit it all.

At the moment I can’t really find a theme I can use in general – sad enough :-/

    • Thanks for the suggestion Michael.

  117. Amazing design, but I have this sugerences:

    – Why don’t use amazing typographies, and big images in single post, just like http://www.gizmodo.com

    – Please make shortcodes easier, just like woothemes and themify do: one generator of shortcodes with a button, you have one, but doesn’t have all shortcodes there, please make an update.

    – Innovate in something, why don’t create something like http://www.iscribbled.com/ and gizmodo.com and allow comments in images and every page, and not like all blogs.

  118. Totally looking forward to Nexus release, asap! Want to use it for my local Internet radio station. The magazIne style layout will convey the local news items, music notes and radio stuff quite well! –Greg

  119. Fantastic!

  120. Looks great! Good luck.

    • Sorry to keep you waiting. We hope to have the theme finished soon πŸ™‚

      • Can you make it compatible to Woocommerce too, just in case we want to sell a product online? It will be great. Thank you.

      • I asked with our readers showing this preview and they are happy to change this theme !

Please make it hurry ! and Pinterest shortcode and counts of pinterest users following / Picons of pinterest with g+.

I have created a post for adding script with customized images – which show all the images to pin it. not like default pin button to repin only thumbnails. if you want to check i can share the link.

  121. Looking forwrad to the release.

One suggestion – can we have another option other than dates in the green boxes for featured stories / blogs ( symbols would be cool – dollar/pound sign for saving, globe for world news, house for home etc – as with social media icons). Or in the alternative have an option not to display a date at all. If the magaizine is not posting every day … showing the date of a post does not encourage readers ( they erroniously think it is out of date)

  122. I realize this suggestion is a bit late in the Nexus game, but felt compelled to share it as I will undoubtedly use future Elegant Themes on my sites.

BuddyPress recently underwent a major change that gives it better integration with default WordPress themes.

I need themes — not just Nexus — to be BuddyPress (and bbPress compatible).

    • Thanks for the suggestion Buck. I don’t think that buddypress compatibility is on the top of our priority list right now, but it is definitely something we will consider in the future.

      • Hi there! It would be really awesome if the elegant themes would finally have the buddy press compatibility. The forums from elegant are full with requests since more than a year now. I am working on a website atm with different elegant themes but can’t get buddy press working at all. which is really sad. i don’t want to work with other themes but if there is no other way to have buddy press running i need to swap for the moment until you guys finally, and hopefully soon, make your themes compatible.
        kind regards

    • I agree, it would be nice to have some BP integration.

  123. could you please add a notepad doc that gives us the best image sizes for the specific theme, like the background, the widget sizes, the slider sizes, and the recommended DPI (is that what it is – in Photoshop when you open a new image?) I find that i am spending a lot of time trying to get the best image size and it would help if I had a pre done list to start with.

    • Thanks for the suggestion Robert. We have had this request before, and I plan to add suggested image size to the theme documentation when we have the time to do so.

      • yes, you can add this or other features by releasing new updates or patches.

Just waiting for this theme to launch. I hope multiple background customization feature is there. Just for different look & feel. Most of the elegant themes had this feature.

I was waiting for such a theme which is versatile & having a decent look. Fingers crossed

  124. When is this going to be available? It’s taking ages.

    • Well there will be a special unfinished version just for you to partially use on a website.

Me I’d prefer to just wait patiently for the developers to take their time and release the best theme possible πŸ™‚

  125. I’ve been looking for a theme like this one for a few weeks now, looks really nice and it has most of the features I need. It has a “popular posts”, “recently posted” but I would like to see a “Similar posts” or topics. I know there is a plugin for that, but it shows at the bottom of your pages. It would be great for SEO to have one “Similar posts” section maybe in the Widget area or sidebar area?. Theme looks very promising. Grats Nick and team.

  126. Looks fantastic!!!

  127. Hi Nick, Great looking theme, can’t wait to get my hands on it.
Will we be able to use our own image for the post thumbnails or will the theme choose it based on the first post image?

I have used a theme before which did this and I found some vital info missing from the thumbnails like a head being cut off from the image.

    Anyway great work

  128. Hi Nick, I think the theme will be great but for me it would be perfect with users front end submisison by topics, also it would be amazing if you add ecommerce plug in so we could sell cool stuff to our users.. thanks! laura

  129. Look’s great! When will be released?

    • We are shooting for early next week!

  130. Is it responsive!? Hehe poor Nick, you’ve been asked a lot of the same questions over and over, but yet you seem to almost always reply to ever one. #elegantsupport

  131. When it is going to be ready to download. Congratulations, by the way

  132. Arhg, can’t wait for this theme. I have a personal project I want to get started on, and this is the theme I have been waiting for, it seems to have everything I need without even a little bit of modification to it.

Out of curiosity, how many themes do you have in the pipeline? Will you consider making a ‘App’ theme for Car Sales? Similar to Elegant Estate, but designed towards Cars? And a Hotel based app theme?

  133. When will be released? !!!!!! monday ?

    • Sometime next week – earlier that later I hope, but I can’t say for sure right now!

      • As much as I want this theme (and I do… SO bad), take your time and make it the best you can Nick. You guys are as great as you are because the craftsmanship that goes into all of your designs is second to none.

        • I agreed with you Andrew. Nick and his team need to take time now that we have WP 3.6 beta!

  134. Hi,

Just wondered if you had a release date? Im looking to upgrade my website and this theme would be perfect.

  135. Love your work!

Im inspired by the “new” trends used by mashable and thenextweb and the way they use sticky headers and boxes with infinity scroll and hope to see some use of this down the road.

I will be using this for a game site and would love to see reviews like this πŸ™‚

    Best regards

  136. Hello,

Any update on the status? I’m working on a site right now and this theme looks like it has the elements we are looking for. I need to have the site done quickly, so if it’s going to take a while I’ll keep looking.

  137. When will be available? πŸ™‚ This theme is simply amazing and i need that asap!

  138. ideal theme for magazine sites

  139. This theme is the one that excites me the most. Nice work.

  140. Looks really good. Can’t wait for it to be released as I have a good niche site in mind that it will be perfect for.

  141. Hi Nick, I really enjoy been an ET client, I have many projects where your themes are been extremely usefull.
I have a question I work with education projects mainly community blogs where I have used Aggregate and Trim, now IΒ΄m developing a Media Lab, where I need to put multimedia staff like podcast, video, forums, presentations, infographics, etc. What theme do you recommend? I thought in Notebook beacause of the multimedia features but may be is not that community engagement as Aggregate, or may be I should wait until Nexus is released?

  142. I’m checking this section several times per day hoping for the theme to be finished and available for download. =)

  143. I hope these themes in the test if using yslow / GTmetrix can produce an Grade A (+90).
    Still waiting this themes.

    Thansk Nick

  144. Nick,

I think this post has the most comments on your blog. πŸ™‚ Everybody feels that this theme will be special.

    No pressure. πŸ™‚

  145. Mil gracias

  146. Mil gracias esta genial excelente post

  147. muchas gracias muy interesante el tema

  148. So I’m having issues with the 3rd column option….I would love to have the homepage be 3 columns however it only shows up/works using Internet explorer which is an issue. I need some help!

    • If you need help, please open a ticket in our support forum so that our team can assist you.

  149. How does the google adsense 480×60 banner looks like ?

    screenshots will be greatly appreciated

    thank you

  150. The theme looks great! πŸ™‚

I just inherited a site that uses this Nexus theme. But it won’t support a 300px wide sidebar? Everyone uses 300×250 sidebar ads now.

Any ideas how to tweak, so I don’t have to scrap the theme? Because it looks SO good I want to keep it.

  151. Please, please, please add youtube as one of the social media icons in the top menu bar. I was trying to add youtube in place of the rss feed, but having the option to use add it under the epanel would be so much easier and look a lot cleaner than having to upload a youtube image. Also, as someone who doesn’t really use G+ it offers a popular choice for many bloggers, etc out there.
