New Theme: TheStyle

As the name suggests, this theme is all about style. Featuring a crisp, modern design, TheStyle will give your blog that unique visual impact you have been looking for. Furthermore, with its unique jQuery-enhanced, fluid width design, your posts always get displayed in a way that is best suited for your visitor’s resolution (try resizing your browser window to see what I mean). For more info, be sure to view the Live Demo as well as the Features Page.

TheStyle Features

1. Five Unique Colorschemes – The theme comes in 5 different colors, including Black, Red, Brown, Turquoise and Grey. If the default color doesn’t suit you, then I am sure one of the other great variations will.

2. Optional Sidebar – While the demo has it disabled, you can also choose to feature a widget ready sidebar on all index pages, as well as the homepage. This can be turned on and off from within ePanel.

3. ePanel Theme Options – As with all our themes, TheStyle comes integrated with our ePanel Theme Options, giving you increased control over your website.

As always, I am excited to hear what you think about the new design!

Yeah, this theme is very nice. But I am still waiting for the Magnificent.

    • austen goldsmith says:

As a newcomer I am struggling with elegent themes. I cant access the forum despite logging in I am then told I cant access the theme areas , just read the PR threads at the top of the page . We have downloaded this theme twice and the plug ins are missing. Great looking theme I just wish we could get past stage 1 .

Would gladly pay a developer to get this up and running before we give up

      • Nick says:

If you need help, please open a thread in the support forum and we will be happy to assist you.

      • Daggett says:

It sounds like you can’t even access the support forum here to post your question.

Austin, I’m modifying the TheStyle theme extensively, and would be glad to help.

If you’re the owner of the fly fishing site, then I salute your work! I am in Mauritius and your Seychelles trip sounds amazing. If only I fly fished, I would save up for it. There is an alternate destination off of Mauritius that might interest you.

Best to contact me via skype. My ID is harveyim.

        • Sarah says:

          Dear Daggett,

I read your post and maybe you could help me: could you tell me how to delete the date and “posted by” in The Style theme? All I could do was to diminish considerably the size of the date, but wasn´t able to erase it.

          Thank you

          Sara

  2. Bryan Cook says:

  5. Bartek says:

    such a greate job!

    • Hi Mark.

Did you ever get a reply as to if there was a gallery? I am a photographer who thinks the Style theme looks great but also needs a gallery – is there any way you can link an image to another website which could then act as the gallery!

  6. mecha says:

just fyi… when viewing this theme on iPad, it instantly crashes Safari.

  7. Paul says:

Absolutely fabulous. TheStyle must be the new gold standard in wordpress magazine themes. Fantastic. Thank you.

  8. Darran says:

  10. Hugh Kim says:

    Greetings Nick!

Great job, I like it! One more thing, As I checked comments is not usefully. Is it possible to add published date below of name, but not on image.

    Thanks again!

  11. Zach says:

for some reason on http://techin.me/ it doesnt show widgets on the sidebar on the homepage. It only shows them when on a post

  12. Elektronen says:

Nice theme visually. But all themes latelty are very heavy to load. Nice to look at but very heavy loaders. Not that good.

  13. marcus says:

I’ve noticed that several of your themes have a lot of empty space at the top which pushes much of the main content below the fold on wide screen displays. Is there an easy way to change these so there isn’t so much wasted space?

  14. Chris says:

I’m liking the idea, but I don’t like the fluid width – it looks far too big and confusing on a widescreen monitor. It would look much better as a fixed width – 980px or whatever is standard.

  15. Nick, this theme work with Cufo? It’s possible to use it with UT-F8 latin characters like (~`´ç) for example? It’s work nice?

    Thanks again!

    Paulo

  16. John says:

  22. Will says:

    Very Nice,

Just asking: is thre a way to turn off the auto expand of each article on hover? Personally, don’t like this as a user experience.

  23. shasan says:

This is a wonderful theme. Nice work.

    Requests >>

+ Can you please make another theme for Video sites with option to embed HD stuff.

+ And a Squeeze Page Theme.

    Thanks in advance.

    Loved new video tutorial series.
Would be nice if you show how to configure multi-sites in WordPress.

  24. RichardSouth says:

Funny how everything old is eventually new again. Back in the day just about all sites used to be built with a fluid width. Now it’s all fixed.

I wonder if this theme might work OK as-is for web & mobile display ?

  25. Antwuan says:

    I REALLY like this one!

  26. DeepTitanic says:

I also love the fact that you can upload your logo and favicon through epanel … the little things count too – Great job!!

  27. Nile says:

At last! This theme I can say is one of the best of nick yet!

  28. dentaoman says:

    Nick,

the design is excellent, but please take care not to developp themes only for afficionados,
Glider cannot be visualise properly on a note book (no more than 3 menu links seen), on IE 6 ? no answer from support, and this one The Style is the same, if you don’t have a 17 or 19 inch, it’s not so perfect, to be positive.
More and more time to load
Sites must be seen by all, not only for someone….
I like your work and use your templates for my sites…
    Best regards

  29. Awesome freakin’ design! One of your best by far!

  30. David says:

The design is amazing, but what about SEO? I noticed all the titles are images. Is alt text enough for seo ranking?

  31. Kurt Avish says:

    Awesome design dude!!!

  32. Sam says:

Have been waiting for this for ages!!! Thank you so much :D :D:D:D:D

  37. Mark says:

    Hey Nick,

I’m very interested in this theme, but I have a few questions/reservations about it, namely – do the graphic titles support non-Latin text?

    Cheers,

    Mark

  38. Ariah Fine says:

This is awesome. I’d almost call this a “Calendar” theme. I’ve longed for a wordpress theme set-up to function as a visual rich calendar for a community website I run. It’d be awesome to be able to future post items and have them actually show up on here. Wish I knew how to do that. I’d definitely love to use this theme for it.

  39. Will says:

How does this theme handle video content?

  40. jamalac says:

Well, I’d be ready to buy it but there is no information from eleganttheme about photo gallery and video integration. Why ? I don’t know, just too bad :-(

  41. Alan says:

Thinking of getting a membership because of this theme but have a question:

If I had a post, for example about a solar powered coat (!?), I’d want it to appear as a thumbnail if I were to click either the ‘Technology’ OR the ‘Fashion’ menu buttons… Is this possible?

(I notice that menu items can appear in several places, but this is not what I’m asking)

    Thanks!

  42. alex says:

The previews should overlap on the others and there’s a space in between posts in the home page.

    This is the problem:
    http://getfunky.fr/

This is how it should behave..
    http://www.elegantthemes.com/preview/TheStyle/

anyone know what kind of file do I have to edit to make this work as it worked ?
I don’t have any recent backup sadly so downgrade is not an issue

    thanks

    • Phillip says:

Same here – I too am having this issue and it is not a browser specific or OS specific problem.

Nick can this be fixed or at least can someone advise what might be causing this?

      Cheers
      Phillip

    • Josh says:

So it seems you found a solution to your problem, because your website is looking fine now. Could you please share with us what you did to fix it?

  43. flip73 says:

It seems my images are cropping when i use the Big Post setting. Is their a way of defining this so the images take up the entire post on the main page. So they are not being cropped.

  44. How can i stretch the image across the whole box (thumbnail) for a big post?

    • Sam Welbeck says:

I also need to know how to stretch the image across the teaser for a big post. It keep cropping. Any help please?

    • MikeY says:

Can someone PLEASE answer this regarding the “Big Post” It’s driving me nuts. It basically renders this larger post option useless as it makes the page look anything but stylish. I’m hoping there’s something simple I’m overlooking.

  45. Share it to says:

Nice theme I’m gonna use it on my next site. I loved the layout and design of the site. Share it to each other is my current website and I am constantly conscious of it’s design factor. Thanks.

  46. MEFDesign says:

That’s amazing and I’m interested in it at the first look.

  47. Mark says:

Did anybody find a solution for the big post image cropping issue ?

  48. Nice theme visually. But all themes latelty are very heavy to load. Nice to look at but very heavy loaders. Not that good.

  49. Gibble says:

How to delete the “date” and “posted by” in The Style theme?

  50. Samuel says:

All themes by Elegant Themes it’s beautiful design!

  51. Pey says:

    Hi,

I’ve been debating getting TheStyle for about a week now, but I would need it to do video posts. I noticed a programmer on some wordpress blog customized it to do so. Shown here:

    http://wordpress-style.net/wp-content/gallery/birfilm/home-page.png

Would anyone know how to do this in the member forums?

I would become a member if this is adressed.

    Merry Christmas,
    Pey

  52. Haseeb says:

I wanted to know if there is anyway I can have my post title shown up completely on the home page and category pages? For example if my post title is “7 things you must know before going to hell”

But it only shows “7 things you must…”

My content dose not look nice this way, in fact it dose not say completely what that post is actually about. HELP
