I am/was new to Wordpress and new to
Divi as of a few weeks ago. After using the
Divi Theme for a few days, which is essentially the page builder as a Theme, I am happy with the theme and theme support.
The heavy lifting has been getting acquainted with hosting, familiarizing myself with Wordpress generally, and of course, learning how to use the theme. I have spent the majority of my time in this early stage familiarizing myself with the builder, learning how to use different sections, rows, and modules to do various things.
So far I think it's great, and I expect it to get better as the learning curve eases.
