You just may experience spectacular support from ET team member Dustin Falgout like we have!
Dustin helped swiftly resolve our need of a separate page-width footer section above the existing
Divi 4 column footer (also being used).
We ran into a minor bump that 'adjusted' all layout when child theme was activated (with code also provided by Dustin) and Dustin spent the time to login to assist -- turns out it was a widget causing trouble.
He also took the extra time to let us know how we can better use custom widget areas for the footer section by example and this is a 'skill' we can take away aside from requesting for assistance.
To that, a hats off for ET for having acquired a member that 'teaches a man how to fish'
