Today I am pleased to give everyone a peek at our upcoming theme. Feather is subtle, refined and yet meticulously designed. When we conceive new themes, it’s not always about building in fancy new features, but rather, it’s often about creating a design that portrays a feeling that is unique to our collection. Feather’s light and airy qualities will be great for those looking to give their website a fun new look while at the same time keeping things clean and simple.

It looks awesome! Really digging that blue and the lobster font.
Does anyone know where I can get the typefaces that are used in the Feather theme template (fonts like Lobster)?

What do you mean by a business theme?
This theme design allows for personal usage and SOME business types. Are you referring to corporate type businesses? <- I'd have to disagree with that.
This is not a business theme, not in any possible way!
well…… jajaja depends… i kind of see an ecommerce site for baby stuff, textiles or fancy appareal on top of it… that makes it business right? XD

They can’t all be custom-tailored to me, though

To be honest the theme is good but I guess you should try your hand with different genres.. I like Review themes, Coupon themes, CTR based themes, app like themes, etc. They solve a problem not many have an answer to. Wat say ?

We already have Review and App themes, but I will keep the Coupon idea in mind.

I too would like to see a coupon theme also what about one where cutomers could add a job they want doing like a reroof or any building project for instance?
I don’t see why people can’t use all of these themes as personal blogs. Use the blog view and make that your front page. There is enough flexibility in the themes and in WP to do that, no?
I agree its all about the use You can use Simple Blog, Portfolio , Or biz site its all about the use not the look of the default theme
Yup! it’s so easy to elaborate from any of these themes. They are flexible enough to keep them unique and creative within themselves.

Amen, Ben! Does it need to actually SAY “Coupon Theme” for you to use it as such? Tsk tsk tsk. Elegant can’t do ALL the work for you, folks. Use a little imagination and do what you are supposed to do: Design and program a site that is created specifically for your client, not as a direct copy of someone else’s site.

I was thinking the same thing. These are fantastic, but recently a bit soft and fluffy. I love the look of TheSource theme. Great for movie reviews or game news. Very masculine. I’d like to see a new theme for men!

I purchased them from ShutterStock.
When you ship those images with the theme files, can we use them on our final sites ?
We never ship the stock images with the themes. They are licensed, so if you want to use them you would need to purchase them from shutterstock.

I design all of the themes personally, so they will likely always have a similar feel. My personal touch is what makes them unique from other providers (though not unique between themselves). Luckily there are many other theme sellers out there if you are looking for a different style.

I would suggest using the Widget Logic plugin.

Mostly all the last themes, are more then 1 think the same…
You need to go in a new way for creating themes. Some kinda new revolution….

I am not sure how Chameleon, InReview, MyCuisine and Envisioned are the same. These are all pretty different, and are used for very different purposes (Business, Review, Restaurant and Portfolio). I appreciate the suggestion though.
Its not negative meaning. Its just the “kinda” look the same, dont know how to explain. The last themes structure are very close.
im missing a really different themes like you did with “the style or light bright”. something dark…

Please, can you integrate option to the admin menu for using common fonts like Helvetica, Arial, Georgia (Google fonts mostly don’t support czech letters)?

We could add Arial and Georgia. I wouldn’t recommend Helvetica though, as most computer will not have this font. We can only embed the google fonts because they are open source.

like the subtle colors an crisp modern layout, im happy to see u integrated the social icons in menu bar. is there a search function on the homepage? nice design glad to see theres some areas for post titles. im not creative type wat would u suggest this type theme is appropriate for? magazine? keep up the great work.

I’d like to see an option to add events to the themes. The Event theme is too limiting color wise and content wise and your new themes are beautiful.

Any chance of getting something a little more “social” next? Maybe something that would work well with BuddyPress or a forum package (bbpress, vanilla, etc)?

Nice one Nick – yet again another gorgeous design!
It would be fantastic to have some color choices like this with the review theme, as i plan to use review for a child-oriented product review site and the current color schemes are very techy looking.
The home run would be if we could use your awesome review or event functionalities on any theme. I would especially love to use events on TheStyle and reviews on this theme.
Oh and chameleon options on all too!

All you need is a host that supports the minimum requirements of WordPress:
http://wordpress.org/about/requirements/
If you are unsure whether your current host supports WordPress then I would contact them to find out.
the themes are starting to look the same…repetitive…
also, the new color scheme you have used on the past 2 themes, well most of the colors can’t be used. Please use regular colours such as red orange blue green, not light green, light blue, etc…
other than that, elegant themes is great!
Any colors can be used. That’s the point of the color control panel. I am not sure why you would complain about this particular feature, but you can always turn it off if you don’t want to use it. You can also define a custom background image from within ePanel. As far as I can tell, the new control panel is liked by most users and I plan to continuing integrating it when possible. Sorry about that.

Nice theme as all ways. Would just like to use this opportunity to suggest you do another video theme? I am using eVid now in one of my sires, but compared to your latest themes it looks almost outdated. Still ok though, but nevertheless a reminder of how much your work has improved.

Is it me or you LOVE huuuuge headers ?
Most modern looking websites are using very small headers (menu / logo) to make room for content… I think you should try that. Once. :p

This Feather theme is really nice…
How many options will it have for pages? All your themes pages look the same, with no options to change the look such as more than on sidebar. Will this theme have the option to change the look of a page? Or at least make it easy to add another sidebar, like a right AND left sidebar, instead of just one? I’ve been waiting a long time for this more professional feature in your themes, but so far they all look pretty-much the same. Nice colors in this one but add some design options for a change.

looks neat and slick but then…it all looks alike at a certain point.
Perhaps an innovative slider like SimplePress sort like??? The market is very competitive out there and innovation is the key aspect to be the number one. You’ve done some great works till now and I’m sure you can innovate to quench our thirst :p
