New Theme: Polished

Polish up your blog with this silky-smooth design. My goal with this theme was to create something simple, refined, and well, polished! All of my recent themes have been page-based, so I thought it was time I release a more traditional blog template. I hope this dark and “interfacey” design will be a welcomed addition the the ElegantThemes collection. Polished Features

Powered by ePanel, Polished gives you full control over your blog. Customize your menu, colors, manage SEO and more right from your WordPress dashboard. Polished comes with six different color schemes, so if Blue isn’t your style, then you can always try out the Red, Purple, Orange, Green and Turquoise variations.

New Theme: TheCorporation

TheCorporation is a sleek and professional theme for business sites. Grab your visitor’s attention immediately with the prominent and flashy jQuery slider, and let them know who you are via the simple page-based homepage design. I have received countless requests for such a “non-niche” and ”businessy” design over the last few months, so I hope that this helps to satisfy the needs of those members. The Corporation Features

Powered by ePanel, TheCorporation comes with all of the great features you have become accustomed to here at EelegantThemes. Change color schemes, post layouts, manage your navigation, optimize your blog for SEO and more with the click of a button.

1. Optional Blog-style Structure – TheCorporation is a completely page-based design, but that doesn’t mean you have to use it that way. You can switch to “Blogstyle” mode at any time, which converts the page-based homepage into a post-based blog. Furthermore, you can choose to populate the Featured Slider with posts instead of pages. Even though this theme was made with a specific audience in mind, there is nothing stopping bloggers who just like the design from using it.

2. Six Unique Color Schemes – TheCorporation comes with 2 styles, each with 3 color schemes, for a total of six different variations to choose from. The standard skin comes in three colors, including Blue, Green and Purple.

For those looking for a something a bit more understated, the theme also comes with a “refined” skin. This skin include 3 colors, including Red, Blue and Silver.

New Theme: Business Card

The idea behind BusinessCard was to create just that, an online business card that could showcase information about you or your company in a clear and concise manner. This is not a “blog” theme, but rather a purely page-based (cms-style) template. Due to the limited content, all pages have been combined into a single fast-loading tabbed area which has been enhanced with jQuery to create flash-like effects. BusinessCard is a great way to tell visitors about yourself in a subtle yet sophisticated manner. To learn more check out the Live Demo, or browse the Features Page for more details.

BusinessCard Features

1. Page-based content areas give you full control over each tab, allowing for a plethera of possibilities.

2. Multiple colors schemes – BusinessCard comes with 5 color variations. If Grey isn’t your style, then check out the Blue, Green, Pink and Turquoise versions.

3. Integrated gallery – BusinessCard allows you to add a gallery/portfolio into any of your tabs. Thumbnails are featured in a jQuery slider and include lightbox effects. What is special about this gallery is that it requires no posts or custom fields, but instead, uses the default WordPress gallery feature. When you add a WordPress gallery to your page, BusinessCard automatically updates the markup and integrates the thumbnails and source images into the slider.

If you are following me on facebook and twitter, then you know that there are two other themes in the works. I am happy to say that development is almost complete on each, and that you can expect two new themes within the next week or so! Elegant Themes Icon Pack, For Free!

I needed a few icons for a new theme I am designing, and after being unable to find any open-source/restriction free icons that suited the theme, I resorted to creating some of my own. After I started making them I figured, why not create a whole set? So I sat down all day yesterday and drew a set of basic web icon to be used here at ElegantThemes. Now that I have a decent collection I have decided to release them for free, so hopefully next time someone is looking for some stock icons to use in their commercial project they will have to look no further! These icons are restriction-free. Feel free to use and abuse them, redistribute them, resell them, or anything else you can think of. New Theme: OnTheGo

My newest theme, OnTheGo, has been released today. OnTheGo is a completely hand-drawn theme that was scanned in and compiled to create a fresh and interesting design. It is fun and playful while maintaining an air of professionalism, and its unique appearance is sure to make your website stand out amongst the crowd. Creating OnTheGo was a lot of fun, as I have never tried to incorporate a physical drawing into a theme before, let alone base the entire design on hand-drawn line. OnTheGo Features

This theme comes with all the great features you are used to here at ElegantThemes, including the ePanel Theme Options page and all the functionality it provides, complete localization and translation to English, German and Russian, and more. Here are a few stand-out features worth mentioning in greater detail:

1. Optional BlogStyle Layout – OnTheGo was created to be a page-based CMS style theme, however, you can also use it like a traditional blog by enabling BlogStlye Format in the options page.

2. Four Unique Color Schemes – OnTheGo comes with four different color variations, including Blue, Purple, Green and Brown. You can switch between these color schemes at any time via the ePanel Theme Options page.

3. Comprehensive Featured Slider – The homepage features a jQuery-powered slider. Unlike eBusiness, where the content of the slider is created using fields in the Options Page, OnTheGo gives you the option to popular the slider using Pages or Posts. You can define which pages to use for each tab, or you can simply designate a Featured Articles category to pull the posts from.
